LEGO has officially revealed 71039 Marvel Minifigures Series 2, the sequel to 2021’s Marvel Studios Minifigures.
LEGO Marvel Series 2 will feature 12 new characters to add to your collection, and is slated for a 1 September 2023 release date.
The new Marvel Series 2 complete set will include characters from Marvel’s Disney+ shows such as Kate Bishop and Hawkeye from the Hawkeye series, Moon Knight and Mr. Knight from Moon Knight, She-Hulk, The Werewolf from Werewolf by Night, Echo, Goliath (likely from a What-If), and Wolverine, Storm, and Beast from X-Men 97.

Here’s a look at the new blind boxes for Marvel Series 2, which will no doubt be a huge disappointment to fans as this is the first LEGO Collectible Minifigures series that will come in these cardboard boxes.
Last year, LEGO announced that they were making the switch from foil bags to these more sustainable and recyclable packaging, which while better for the environment will also mean that it’ll be impossible to “feel” and identify the minifigures you want.

Here’s a look at the complete lineup of 12 minifigures and their accessories.
- Mr. Knight
- Hawkeye
- Goliath
- Storm
- Wolverine
- Echo
- Agatha Harkness
- The Werewolf
- Kate Bishop
- Beast
- She-Hulk
- Moon Knight
See more close-up photos of the characters below!

Taking a moment to ignore the blind boxes, this looks like a really solid series for LEGO Marvel fans, and I think the X-men are fantastic additions, and I’m also really excited to get my hands on the Moon Knight minifigure which looks superb.

There will also be 6-pack boxes released, and here’s a look at them. These will retail for US$29.99 each.
LEGO Marvel Minifigures Series 2 will be released on 1 September 2023.
What do you think of Marvel Series 2? Are there any characters you’re looking forward to the most?

The Facebook comments on your latest post (regarding minifigs) say a “tabulated spreadsheet” that would be cool.. think that is feasible? Minifig 1 weighs xx ounces so is xx character
Do you know if these will be coming to Australia i would like to know, even tho they probably will I’m still not sure.
I really want Moon Knight, mr Knight and agatha
Any chance you know box layout yet?
I’m waiting for LEGO to send my review copy, and once I’m able to share my review, I’ll be sure to share it!
I need someone to weigh these when they get their hands on them so we can see if we can identify them that way since we can’t feel them anymore.
I have a small scale ready and waiting for this.
Unless there is pattern like other boxes, I will do the same when our cases come in first week of sept
At what precision will you be weighing it? I really hope your scale can do tenth of a gram
I will be putting up a video using a scale that can go to the hundredth of a gram and I have a set of weight standards I’ve used to insure it’s accurate. I should hopefully have it up by 8am on release day.
Thankyouthankyouthankyou!
I am beyond excited for a Storm fig!
An unpopular opinion to be sure, but I’m glad for this change. I found it frustrating that when you were buying CMFs, the box had been picked over and fondled leaving only the less popular figures behind. If you want the complete set or particular figures, then cough up your cash in the aftermarket. Now at least when some kid buys a CMF they might actually get one of the better figures (BTW this series looks pretty good, although Echo is an odd choice – especially as they omitted Ms Marvel).
It’s nonsense that you can’t see what you are buying anyway. This new packaging just seems like a way to get us to spend more. They could’ve easily put it in paper bags.
exactly
Are they packaging the entire set of minifigures? Also, What is the link to the LEGO site of this?
Honestly who says we can’t peek in the cardboard box to see what color the pieces are haha
My workaround for the blind boxes will be to purchase full sets from the fine folks on kijiji in my area.
It may cost a little extra but in the long run will be cheaper than blind buying and ending up with several extras I don’t want.
I give it a week before we figure out a way to tell what minifigure we’re getting
I already have one and will post a video day of
They broke down the last Mario series figures by weight. You can get a cheap pocket scale on Amazon and Lego can go %@#$ themselves on this.
I hope!
DOing it by weight might be an idea
I don’t agree with the packaging, it will be the first time I will miss a set of mini figs. . . .sad day in Lego land
You’re a big baby
Agreed.
🙁 I am 100% opposed to blind boxes where you can’t feel the figures. I can’t afford that nonsense.
Then get a job.
Some of us don’t like gambling or encouraging companies to exploit the behavior. It’s very unethical to target children this way as well.
Some of us also like to know what we are paying for.
I’m with you on that one. They have already gone way to high up on lego pricing to begin with which really isn’t cool at all. Making it way harder for lego fans to afford legos. Now this. You know there will be plastic bags on the inside. They don’t care about the environment they care about their wallets. If I’m wrong sorry but I don’t think I am.
I’m so excited for this!! I just wish they’d included a Ms. Marvel figure (the lack of one bothers me considering that’s my favorite MCU show and it looks like all the shows except hers got a figure)
It’s actually the beginning of a new era of precision pharmacy scales.
All you’ll need will be a pocket scale which measures down to 0.01 grams accuracy and the list with weight you want to match.
For hawkeye, it would have been cool if they designed a new bow. They’ve used the default recurve bow when he uses a compound one (very different look).
🙂
Love that X-Men are finally getting representation. Don’t care for the Moon Knight characters, or Werewolf. Wish that we got some actual Quantumania figures. Overall 7/10
I love it!
But I’ll miss feebling – this would be a great series to have in blind bags
All the best ones are the easiest to feel for!
You’re an idiot
Jeez, take it easy.
Well, that was fun while it lasted….
Truly an end of an era 🙁
