After a brief hiatus which caused momentary panic that LEGO had junked the theme, LEGO Speed Champions races back in Summer 2021 with all-new cars and models, including the introduction of first-time carmakers like Koenigsegg and Toyota joining the theme.
Thanks to JB Spielwaren, we have our first peek at six new Speed Champions sets that will be released on 1 June June globally.
- 76905 Ford GT Heritage Edition and Bronco R – AU$89.99
- 76904 Mopar Dodge // Srt Top Fuel Dragster & 1970 Dodge Challenger T / A – AU$89.99
- 76903 Chevrolet Corvette C8-R & 1968 Chevrolet Corvette C3 – AU$59.99
- 76902 Mclaren Elva – AU$29.99
- 76901 Toyota GR Supra – AU$29.99
- 76900 Koenigsegg Jesko – AU$29.99
These sets will be available from LEGO.com, LEGO Stores, and most toy stores that carry LEGO.
I’m most excited about the Koenigsegg Jesko, of which only 125 models were made, and the Toyota GR Supra, which will be huge with fans of Japanese sports cars as the Supra is one of the most iconic JDM cars.
Maybe we’ll get a Lancer or RX-7 next?
In case you missed it, here’s all the other Summer 2021 LEGO sets revealed so far:
- Creator 3-in-1 Medieval Castle
- Creator 3-in-1 Ferris Wheel & Space Shuttle
- LEGO City Safari
- Ninjago Seabound (Season 15) & Legacy
- LEGO Mickey & Friends
- Vidiyo Wave 2 Minifigures

Masarati mc20 we need it it’s my favourite car plz plz plz!
Oh that’d be nice. We haven’t had a LEGO Maserati ever.
The Chevrolet dual pack doesn’t seem to be features on the Lego.com.au webpage either. I am going to be so p*****d if these don’t release here!
On the Australian version of the official Lego website (Lego.com.au), it doesn’t feature the Koenigsegg. Does this mean that it won’t be released in Australia?
They are not available in the au till later In the year
they look awesome and cant wait to build them
They look good. Some better than others
Thank you, Jay. For your tireless work bringing us the most up to date information anywhere in the web.
Good work Sir!
Sadly, I am utterly disappointed at this line up. I was so hoping for another Group B Really Car, or even a cool 80s/90s Group C Le Mans car.
The Ford GT looks okay,..I guess.. but still pretty lame.
Really let down by these – bad car choices and pretty bad build designs too. Not good 😞
Actually, it open a door of opportunity for me to custom build other MOCs 🙂
I do like the Corvette duo 🙂
I thought I’ll get used to this eight stud cars, but not. Minifigs look too small now. When I saw the title of this post, I was excited to see almost of the cars. But I must say I’m disappointed
Worst batch of speed champions EVER. I’ve been collecting them since they came out but not one of those will make it on to me shelves. Too many generic American muscle cars, a Toyota I have no interest in, a dragster I have even less interest, a McLaren that looks nothing like the real thing and the other one which was so boring I’ve forgotten it already.
There are so many wonderfully iconic cars TLG could make but this batch is utter junk.
At lest I can save that money and spend it on one of the Star Wars sets, the space shuttle or the new Porsche or Fiat 500…. thanks Lego you’ve just saved me well over $100.
