Review: LEGO 76989 Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck

April 15, 2022 By Jay 10 Comments

It’s always exciting when LEGO explores new horizons – and 2022 sees LEGO embrace “Gaming” as part of their Creator Expert/LEGO for Adults theme. The first of hopefully many is 76989 Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck, based on the hit Sony Playstation franchise – Horizon Zero Dawn, which recently saw a sequel Horizon Forbidden West launch…

Review: 71246 LEGO Dimensions Adventure Time Team Pack

November 22, 2016 By Jay 6 Comments

After reviewing the LEGO Dimensions Adventure Level Pack featuring Finn the Human, it was only fitting to review 71246 Adventure Time Team Pack, which (nearly) rounds out the cast of LEGO Adventure Time minifigs with Finn’s best friend Jake the Dog, Lumpy Space Princess and BMO. I hope you managed to snag this and other…

Review: 71245 LEGO Dimensions Adventure Time Level Pack

November 9, 2016 By Jay 10 Comments

I’ve managed to get sucked into LEGO Dimensions once again with the recent release of Phase 2 of LEGO Dimensions. Phase 2 introduces a whole bunch of new characters and level packs and there’s one particular new addition which caught my fancy – LEGO Adventure time! I kinda reluctantly picked up the Adventure Time Level…

Review: 71233 LEGO Dimensions Stay Puft Fun Pack

March 18, 2016 By Jay 16 Comments

Earlier this week, the 4th wave of LEGO Dimensions sets were released and I wasted no time picking up the Ghostbusters-flavoured 71233 Stay Puft Marshmallow Man to review. The Stay Puft Fun Pack is undoubtedly one of the most eagerly anticipated sets in the Fourth Wave of LEGO Dimensions which also includes the Midway Arcade Level…

Review: Lego Batman The Movie Super Heroes Unite DVD

July 4, 2013 By Jay 8 Comments

Last week, the long awaited Lego Batman The Movie: Super Heroes Unite DVD finally appeared on shelves across Australia. As an adult Lego fan, I had little interest in the movie but was after one thing: the exclusive Clark Kent minifig! The DVD is available in pretty much everywhere that sells DVDs, from Target to…

One of the rarest LEGO Architecture sets - 21021 M One of the rarest LEGO Architecture sets - 21021 Marina Bay Sands! 🇸🇬

Singapore celebrates their National Day on 9 August, and to mark the occasion, I've dug into my vault to showcase the Marina Bay Sands, one of Singapore's contemporary architectural landmarks!

Released in 2014, it's notorious for being one of the most sought-after Architecture sets, because only 10,000 copies were made.

To make matters worse, they sold exclusively in Asia in countries like Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, and the Marina Bay Sands gift shop!

Thankfully, LEGO released a newer 21057 Singapore Skyline earlier this year which also includes the Marina Bay Sands, but this is a relic from an era where LEGO had regional exclusives in their portfolio.

Happy National Day, Singapore!

Raising the next generation of @lego Castle fans 🏰

Nothing makes me happier than seeing @little.ongs play with 10305 Lion Knights' Castle, which I've conveniently left in an easy to access spot in the house.

While yes, this set is big and meant for adults, the playability and story-telling is so native to kids that it's a great set to share with your kids if you have any.

👑 Having THE definitive LEGO Castle being ruled by Queen Lionne also sends a great message to little girls and a fantastic celebration of #lego90years

10305 Lion Knights' Castle launches today for VIPs and if you're lucky enough to be in the position to pick one up, I hope you enjoy and savour every moment of the build of what is quite possibly my favourite set of 2022.
