A new LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series is officially confirmed for September 2021

UPDATE: It’s finally confirmed – the LEGO Marvel Minifigures series has officially been revealed!

One of the most common questions in my inbox is when is the next LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series coming, and now we have an official answer!

2021 has so far been a particularly solid year for LEGO Minifigure fans with Series 21 (January), Vidiyo Bandmates (March) and Looney Tunes (May), and many fans are already anticipating the next series.

Buried within the Hong Kong (and Taiwanese) 2HY 2021 Catalogues (which you can access via the LEGO Catalogue App) – we now have official confirmation that the next LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series will be released in September 2021!

The text on the yellow minifigure silhouette loosely translates to “A new series will be coming in September, you’ll be surprised!”

September 2021 is pretty typical for the release date of the second half LEGO Minifigure Series (last year, we got Harry Potter Series 2) and as we already have a numbered Series released this year, it could mean that another licensed series is on the way.

Early in January 2021, I reported on rumours that a Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Collectible Minifigure Series would be on the way, and speculated that we would see characters from Disney+’s TV series – Wandavision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and more.

The LEGO rumour mill hasn’t changed directions yet, and there still seems to be very strong confidence that it could be Marvel – this year’s extremely strong slate of Avengers and Marvel Super Heroes sets and LEGO 76178 Daily Bugle also supports the theory.

With the official release date now in LEGO calendars, and September being about 2 months away, fingers crossed we’ll get the full review soon! I absolutely adore the LEGO Minifigures series, and can’t wait to close out the year strong with another series to collect!
