How’s your wallet after the 1st of October new set onslaught? Now there’s even more tantalising offers to help part with your hard-earned money.
In a surprising move, the new LEGO Bricktober 2021 Fairy Tale collection, featuring these lovely micro vignettes of classic fairy tales on brick-built books are now available in Australia from either the network of LEGO Certified Stores or the Melbourne Legoland Discovery Centre.
Update: Looks like it’s also available at Myer as well!

The four sets will be available throughout the month of October in Australia, and will be free with spends of $100 or more, while stocks last.
Here is the complete schedule:
- 6384696 Hansel and Gretel – 2-8 October
- 6384695 Jack and the Beanstalk – 9-15 October
- 6384693 Little Red Riding Hood – 16 – 22 October
- Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland – 23 – 29 October
6384696 Hansel and Gretel 6384695 Jack and the Beanstalk 6384693 Little Red Riding Hood Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
Here’s a closer look at each different vignette.
In addition to the sets, you’ll also get these charming illustrated fold-out story books, presumably with stories of each fairy tale, which are a great accompaniment to encourage younger builders to read and immerse themselves in these tales.
That said, don’t get TOO excited by the packaging. These started trickling out in Asia a few days ago, and they just come in simple plastic bags, so they’re not going to be really collectible, if you’re the type of person who prefers to keep their promotional sets sealed in their boxes.

Additionally, the 2020 Bricktober Fun Fair collection is also available in certain Toyworld, with the Ferris Wheel available in September, Roller Coaster in October, Carousel in November and Swing Ride in December, with spends of $100 or more on LEGO sets.
Check your local to see if they have these in stock!
It’s unknown if these promotional sets will be available in the UK, Europe or North America, but if you’re in Canada, The Brick Fan is reporting that the Fun Fair collection is being made available in Toys R Us.

It might also be a good time to get your Advent Calendars ready – the Star Wars Advent Calendar is already sold out from the Australian Online Shop.
Let me know in the comments if you’re planning to pick these promotional sets up!

I’d love to be able to get each one but can’t afford that! I’ll wait for the Alice in wonderland one, but I don’t see them advertised at the AG certified stores or Myer???
I like the idea of these, but cannot afford that kind of outlay on Lego, or indeed anything. What could have been a charming series of budget sets are no-deals for me.
I might have been a bit negative here, as In sometimes forget that Australian dollars are only half the value of UK pounds. It’s actually a good thing that GWPs are being aimed at the lower price end of the market, the only thing here really is that it’s a one-per-week deal, when a lot of kids would have benefited from it being a one-per-month promo.
Argh, I really should stop posting when I’ve only just woken up. IT IS ONE PER MONTH, so no problem 🙂 I wonder if other regions will get them?
Oh hell, the one-per-month are the ferris wheels, the books are weekly. I’m going to go and rub the sleep out of my eyes…
I can see LEGO using their record profits to invest in plastic bag packaging for limited rare sets – makes sense
Oh, I’m a bit cranky now! I was tossing up whether I should wait and see if a GWP came along later this month or buy all the Christmas sets on the 1st in case they sold out. I chose the later. Wish I waited as these fairytale sets are gorgeous!
Wonder if there is anything else I need….
